Yes fella it will fit I have a late 1995 lump in a K Plate!! I know its the other way round but same principle. Phase differences were purely cosmetic I believe and some Early valver lumps didnt have the 5th Cold Start Injector.

Ur Filter is Directly under the Valver Bonnet scoop thought aint ut youngun Valver isnt!!!

The Williams lump is basically the same as a Valver Lump but with a 2.0ltr Bottom end and bigger Valves etc. So not sure it would be heavier And yeah would be just as easy to fit as a Valver lump fella! Better low down torque on the Williams and bit more BHP as well!

I had a to replace my Valver engine as I am sure ben can remember. 52,000 mile lump. Had new clutch and other bits abd Bobs. Including the engine and Old out and new in etc. Cost me £850
