On the VTEC doesnt it Open the valves a bit more. Letting more Air and fuel in!!! Hence the change in engine note as well!

I have a late 1995 lump in a K Plate!! I know its the other way round but same principle. Phase differences were purely cosmetic I believe and some Early valver lumps didnt have the 5th Cold Start Injector.

As Night Icon said is expensive. Although would imagine fitting is a little less for smaller engined cars. If you have a valver. Will be a high figure as they are a f**ker to work on!
The Williams lump is basically the same as a Valver Lump but with a 2.0ltr Bottom end and bigger Valves etc. So not sure it would be heavier
And yeah would be just as easy to fit as a Valver lump fella!
Better low down torque on the Williams and bit more BHP as well!
