Anyone bought anything interesting recently? I splashed out on some Colx and Sonm. I think either if not both of these will turn x100 by the end of the year.
I agree and disagree with this statement in equal measures. I use an impact driver for 8 hours a day and yes the proper sockets are softer and deform over time and are ultimately a consumable part (I get through around 3 a year) Normal sockets are less forgiving and that force results in the...

I'm considering putting money on all 3.. Probably won't get round to it.. Will almost certainly regret not doing it
Wouldn't worry too much about mustard on the oil cap. But if you have mustard on your dip stick then yes you have a blown head gasket or warped head. I fixed a 1.2 Clio with same symptoms 2 weeks ago, suspected head gasket but it was a cracked thermostat housing and failing coil pack. £15 and...
Got in on the Electroneum Ico in october. Price was 1 cent per ETN plus 50% bonus. In december it went up to 24 cents but has fallen steadily since then. From what ive read experts think we have 2 weeks left of correction (downward or calm) before the market heads north again. Predictions are a...
Dont buy a 197.. the extra weight makes it feel like it needs another 100bhp. Will out handle a 172 all day long but doesnt feel anywhere near as exciting.
derogatory comments aside. Having owned a 1.2, 1.4,1.6.. three 172 Cups, a 182 and a 200 cup. You'll understand "why" the second you get behind the wheel of an RS the difference is biblical.. anything less is pretty much a non event.
The dephaser and cam gear have to come off before you can go deeper into the engine.
My immediate thoughts. If your engines broken buy a new one they are cheap as chips.
Any body know someone in the southwest that I can pay to do a cam belt change whilst supplying parts?
The closer to Bristol the better in an ideal world.
Ta muchly
With the belts done I'd say it's worth £2k. Without the belts I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be worth £600 less. These cars are often bought with the heart not the head so if it's worth it to you then go for it.
Accelerates harder.
Just offering a little advice from personal experience. The 16's on a 182 weigh an absolute ton so in my eyes are by no means an upgrade. If you arnt a fan of 15's I'd say the 16's from a 182 trophy or 172 Cup are the next best option as these are very much in keeping with...
If you are changing the wheels I'd look at a set of 15's. If you want to keep the Oem look Then Oz F1 in 15 are a good bet. Other popular choices are Speedline 2118's or Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2
All good choices
Yea when I'm working on the car I pretty much only use chrome sockets as my impact sockets arnt usually deep enough.
I use an impact socket for scaffolding all day every day and after a while the square side of the socket deforms and you need a new socket. I've never seen this happen to a...
Sounds like the release bearing. The dealer is only obliged to fix what's gone wrong i.e. The release bearing but I'd ask him if he would fit a clutch whilst he's in there (clutch at your cost)
