172 exclusive value

Was looking at this 172 exclusive on eBay but the dealer wants 3k for it what do you think the value actually is?
Looks to be a solid car no rust showing arches sills ect. Comedy letter from previous owner as proof of belts.

Imo at £3k, I’d buy a mint cup. Phase 1’s are rusting like a boat.

Remember though, ph2 and 182s are going the same way, there's no difference in the sills so the same problems will occur.

As for this, I'd say overpriced considering it's belt history.

It does look like a good one but I need to be real about the price. I think 2400 max

With the belts done I'd say it's worth £2k. Without the belts I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be worth £600 less. These cars are often bought with the heart not the head so if it's worth it to you then go for it.

They put the wrong colour interior in it. The wheels I could cope with but the first thing I would do is swap that interior for a standard Ph1 one. Obviously keep the awful interior for when they go up in value and revert it back to standard. The colour is really nice and suits it well.

Also agree on the £3k price is far too steep. It wont be long until they are worth that though.

Lol you could say that!

If everything else is in order then I'd max out at £1400 if it was going to be a keeper. But as bloke says, I'd want to be closer to a grand, I'd say sorted ones are very slowly going up to be between £1500-2000

They fully old-manned it out.
Tacky wheels and odd coloured leather, the sort of things that appeal to men over 60.

So essentially if you did own one you'd rip out the special edition parts and fit stock 172 items?

I can't see the exclusive appreciating much to be honest, it's the ugly duck of the RS Clio's and limited edition or not it's just not desirable.

Pretty much yep! Mainly as I like the colour of them.

Scarab is such a wonderful colour and then they put it on those wheels with that interior....I love phase 1 but the exclusive is such a lame duck. I feel like all phase 1's should appreciate if kept standard but I wouldn't pay for an exclusive what I'd want for my odyssey.... Wierd

Interior aside, I like them!
I used to see a proper chavved up Y reg one kicking around, Lexus lights, big exhaust etc, crappy five spoke wheels. I wanted to give the owner a slap.
