No 172 came with shift lights! a number did come with Over Rev Indicators if thats what you're referring to.

At the risk of sounding like I've totally missed the point.. Don't you have a Clio with a 1.8t VW/Audi lump in it?
Ok got ya yea 4wd clio would be crazy. I've seen a few projects like this started but not many finished.

Looks like money well spent! cant see why he won't get most of it back. It's gotta be worth 24k without tax n mot possibly a bit more with 12 months on it.
The actual 0-60 of a Clio 172 Cup will be around 9-10 seconds as most 10 year old gearboxs will be suffering from dodgy syncros so you will have missed your shift to 2nd gear resulting in lots of embarrassing crunching and will have had to select 3rd instead!!
Cup chassis is firm!! Your feel every bump in the road. If your the kinda guy that would put coilovers on his car and enjoy the benefits they bring then go for it. I personally wouldn't advise anyone buy a 200 due to its obvious downfalls but then again my requirements of a car have changed...
There is no CD player on the alpine head unit i suggested its mp3 only..
