Was considering a golf etc for my next grown up car. Going to go for the clio instead if they have that 4 year warranty thingee. Yes it may not be hardcore but im too old for that on a daily basis.
To cut a long story short:
Got hit from behind, low impact in my daily (not the clio) start of Feb
chap at the time didn't give me his insurance details as didn't have them on him but gave me his name, phone and address. He lives 2-3 mins drive away from me.
The damage at the time looked minor...
looking great! me and a mate are doing the same on a cup on a budget for track use. we haven't started doing any work on it so your thread is great inspiration.
did you get seat subframes made in the end?
agree with ADY554 is there much point if they are just going to look at it and give you advice?
Tried to get through to the service department at my local renault x3. goes through to voicemail each time...........
I had a non fault claim 2 years ago (someone went into the back) now and its affected my premiums every year! in retrospect I will always try and settle privately as I thought I would do ok by going through insurance but I'l be paying extra every year for 5 years on both my cars = LOSER
it might help someone else, i decided to get the cheapest ecp backbox. was 30% off - just wait for the offers/codes. i think it cost 35 quid. turned out to be a klarius stamped back box. seems good quality and decent fitment. quite happy and looks like it will outlast the clio
would love to, but more like looking for something 1/5th of the price to use until the car dies - maybe another 1yr/18months
any luck with a part code from ecp?
Well the first "warm" weekend and i fitted the second splitter to the REAR of my 172. fits really well, same process as the front just chop off the ends. Makes the back that tiny bit more aggressive.
quite happy with the results for £12
screwed two self tappers in the middle to get it roughly central then just keep going both sides. trim the excess off
think i used about 10 self tappers in all
i've had my 172 a month now. bought from a local lad (not on this forum). said that he changed the belts but no paperwork. just got sideways danny to do the full 72k service. cam belt was perishing and on the way out!
i'm glad i got it changed by sidways danny(who did a great job) and...
