i just used rs tuner. great for some basic maps and a doddle to use

you willing to travel? i had my 197 done at tdf in near cambridge, its about an hour away from birmingham. they maybe other places that do remapping, but i prefered to take it to someone witch specialise in renaults

RS Tuner was cheap and is a definite improvement. Gonna flog mine soon if you want one.

I used an RS tuner to map my 182.

It was well worth doing and I'd definitely recommend it.

what will the rs tuner do then?
In sted of geting it done at a garage?
And are they easy to use??
All my power seem to be dead until 5k then it has a little bit then i have to change gear again
and let it wind up to 5k and evan then it feels dead lol.
So i thourt a re map might help it.

The timing 'could' be out if it feels slow compared to other RS Clios !? Is it completely standard ? When were the belts last done ? How many miles and how old's the car ?

These things do have more of a kick between 5 and 7k. Max power should be around 6.6k...

My old one felt awful from 1-3k, 3-5 was alright, 5-7 pulled hard. Had matched inlets fitted and it pulled hard from 1500RPM !

Its a clio 182 on a 54 plate its got a quafe diff in the gear box and a rs inlet and a k&n air filter and a straight threw stanless exhaust with a janspeed back box. And the belts was done not long back just before i brought it and they was done at a local chemix. It feels realy dead my mate has a 172 cup and i carnt keep up with it

I dont think you can go far wrong with rs tuner and stg1 map. Clios should have come with this map from the factory along with a white line arb!

Im going to go and see fred at btm and get him to check the timeing as soon as i can get some time off work then im gunna get it mapped after.
