Any easy fixes for stopping a headlight washer jet leaking?
Don't really want to f*ck around with taking the bumper off, even though most say it's an easy job.
One headlight washer jet is dribbling water all of a sudden.
Any way of blocking it off or replacing without bumper removal?

Looking to get a set of four new tyres for my 2002 172 Clio.
Would I be able to go for 205/45/16 rather than 195/45/16 for a wider stance? Any likely problems?
Lowered on Eibach Sportlines.
Ta!
Sounds like PAS pump, had the same with mine. Belts changed = no difference. PAS pump changed and all sorted.
To check get a long screwdriver, place it on PAS pump when engine running and if thats the problem you'll hear the whine thru the end of the screwdriver
Usually spot a black 172/182 Sport going up Graig hill over Pencoedcae in the mornings, Pontypridd South Wales, black modded Sport with red wing mirrors and white wheels!
Sorry, we only got electricity last week, bear with us.
I'm aware of a few places but was looking for suggestions as to places people have actually tried and can be recommended before I let some dude loose on my paintwork. Sorry, should have been more specific!
Yo,
Anyone have any recommendations as to where I can go for paint correction/detailing in South Wales? Preferably around Cardiff. Willing to pay a tidy amount but nothing too ridiculous.
Black 172, want to get the paint up to scratch as there's a fair bit of swirling going on. Simply don't...
No don't think so dude. I bought the wheels off powey from Gwent on here.
I was pleased with the amount of lowering the sportlines gave, thought it would have been less but I don't really want to go any lower than how it stands.
As for other mods the only thing I may go for is a Prospeed...
Finally had a chance to snap some pics of my 172 after a good detailing session. Been on the site a while but have not yet posted pics. Detailing wise I'm a noob. Used Megs wash, Autoglym SRP, Carabuna Wax and Red Mist and Megs Endurance tyre gel. Clayed it about a month ago with Megs quick...
Spotted along Llwynypia road i think, today about half hour ago.
Looked like a blue 172 cup with oval Magnex (?) exhaust. I passed you in my black 172.
Anyone here?
Hi
Successfully replaced my 172 wheel with a 182 wheel this weekend, noticed today when driving that the wheel is very slightly turned to the right when driving straight on a straight road, car park etc.
Could this just be tracking I hadn#t notcied before, or do I need to take the wheel off...
Eibach Sportlines to lower 30mm for a cost effective mod!
As for buying make sure all belt have been done/will be done before buying
Aux belt, tensioner and idler 36k and Cambelt 72k
Hey man
Directline wanted £350 extra just to be lowered by 30mm on sportlines FFS when I was with them.
I changed over to a multicar policy on Admiral (my RS 172 and missus' Fiesta Zetech) and they have been spot on. No extra for lowering less than 50mm IIRC.
Thanks Chris, much appreciated.
Guess I'll just use the existing airbag.
Also, how easy is it to take the silver renaultsport logo off the 172 wheel and fit it to the new 182 wheel?
Morning all
My mate also has a 172 and his wheel is f*cked as it's melted and thumbgrips have gone.
He's got a 182 wheel ready to fit and I've had a look at the guide in the guides section.
Might seem like a stoooopid question, but why do you have to remove the airbag if the new wheel...
With mine whine is still there when stationary as long as I'm revving the engine and turning at the same time.
Can get a used PAS pump with 3 month warranty for £30 - get in touch with Cit-Ren.
Check your fluid for PAS is full - top right of engine bay as your looking at the car. Also bleed any air of the system - go full lock a few times with engine off and then full lock a few times with engine on, with cap off PAS bottle
Whining might be pump or might be aux belt idler pulley at...
Anyone used Slick 50 power steering fluid? Got a whiny PAS pump which needs changing but in the meantime was gonna use a bit of this to see if it eases the whine at all.
Anone else tried?
Problem is it's a b**ch finding somewhere I can book it into in South Wales to get it done on a Saturday!!
Really annoying, got the pump and got some quotes to get it done but it's finding the time!
You reckon it's definately the PAS pump then?
