no, the ford is faster, no doubt. thats not a problem. one car being faster, it doesnt make it better. Also why not ditch the focus ST, making the FRS the only model ? the new 2009 meg wont have a special edition for a while, if it does then yea compare.

may i correct you, it will always be WRONGLY compared to the FRS. 2500 a year for two years on the FRS. its a limited run model. both 250+ bhp ? R29 (or whatever) will probably be 248bhp (250ps) and bang on the money, the Focus RS will be over 300bhp (hinted at producing more than...

true, its prolly just a remap from 184bhp to 190bhp so yea it will possibly be only 8-9hp more max in the real world but that might make it 182 speed seen as its avaliable in a 35kg lighter cup spec

i really hate you now. stop it with this comparison TBQFH its not in the same league, its not a 'special' when the megane rs becomes a special (2yrs ?) it will no doubt be 150kg lighter still than standard (R26R weight or less) with 20more bhp and better handling.. also this would put it firmly...

the challenge is in allowing the engineers to do what they need to do, which with a modern company like renault fitting poly carb rear windows on a production car is no mean feat. I still think the FRS is in a different posistion, i mean how can you compare a 230hp megane to a 300bhp+ 300lbft +...

because of cost, a megane comes in at £19-£20k the FRS is £24-£26k, the FRS is 300bhp, the megane will be 230-250bhp. its different. the focus ST is its main competitor. interestingly took a hell of a lot of time to make the focus rs vs the time it took to make the R26R ! yet both are equal...

ahh, maybe thats it, i recently rebuilt aswell and know that it has a huge restore partition on the disc.. il investigate tonight :)
