Ive got the same problem. Told churchill my car was standard to get cover, they wouldnt insure me with the mods ive made. So im having to take everything off. Wheels, skirts, i dont know about my cd player? Is that classed as a mod? Its not worth taking the risk IMO. Try telling churchill that...
Hi All. Ive decided to change my 96 clio to something more modern. I want to stick below £5000, and something cheap to run/ insure. I REALLY want a 172 clio, but im not paying £2350 for insurance!
Ive looked at the 1.2 16v Mk2 clio, and i do like it. So for those of you that own one of these...
"right size for the car" my standard car tyre sizes are 155/70/13. Yes they will allow my OE alloys of this size. Im on about the 195/50/15 tyres i have on my clio 16v wheels - they wont allow these.
That red car in your picture Mk2 clio would of come standard with 13/14 inch wheels. By looks...

What do people think?
Its due in a couple of weeks, so ill make some phone calls. I had a company car for a year aswel, but i suppose NCB discount wont apply! The 998 figure is without declared extras, bigger wheels etc :S So im yet to get my pants pulled down even more...
ive only really gotted internet quotes to be honest. Direct line, Tesco, asda and churchill seem the best, then theres the stupid companies such as zurich who want 3 grand? Cant get my head around their system :S
my insurance is due for renewel, and i want to get it in my name this year. Been driving since i was 17, im now 19 with 2 years experience, and no accidents + 0 no claims. Been quoted £998 3rd party on a 1996 1.2 oasis. Does this seem reasonable? Good postcode area and car off road.
Not that i know of, but the cars done 80K so it might have done once in its life. Think ill get the tracking done, hope that improves it.
Cheers cupcake
When im driving, the steering wheel turns to the left, and so does the car. What is the most possible cause of this. Tracking? Track rod ends? Steering rack?
Wanted to ask you people first before some garage try and rip me off. 96 clio no PAS, 1.2

Ok ive sorted the problem. Like discussed above, there is 3 VERY small drain holes, which look like a slit in the underseal, on the inner side of the sill edge, which i probed with a small allen key, water came pouring out :D Thanks guys!!!
"on both sides of the vehicle on both sills underneath there should be sill drains these tend to block up - causing your symptoms and problems - but can be caused from new due to the monkeys with the undersealer spraying too much on"
James, are these sill drains located in the middle of the...
Hi, Hope someone has an idea because i havnt! Ive noticed a swishing sound when driving, took the rear wheel arch cover off to find a puddle of water.
I thought it was getting in through the mounting holes for the rear bump strip. So i sealed them up with some sealent, but the puddle is now...
