58mm are rare I believe, used on the 1.2 8v's. The 1.4/1.6's etc are 54mm like the non-cup 182/172 etc.

No they don't Roy, but as I mentioned earlier, the ECU will adapt the map to suit the RON being used. You will get performance differences between the two...but will you notice in day to day driving? Probably not. MPG will be slightly better with 98RON, but again it's probably minimal.

Glass excess (on FC policies) is usually sub-£100.

The 200 has a 95RON and a 98RON sticker inside the filler cap, and it's essentially the same engine. It really doesn't matter, down to personal choice.

Personally, I'd rather replace them than disconnect them. It would take less time to replace one washer than to do all the work in that thread!

The cars can, and will, run on either. The ECU works out what RON fuel you are using and adjusts settings accordingly.

It wont affect your insurance as it doesn't affect no claims.

A new switch is about £25 (I think) from the dealers, but they often come up second hand for around £10. Keep an eye on here and eBay etc.

The standard ones are more than upto the job, especially if the speakers haven't also been upgraded. Personally I'm not a massive fan of aftermarket units, especially OTT ones, as you say, they attract unwanted attention. Welcome to the forum too :)

Well, from doing a bit of reading courtesy of Google, it appears that wheel and tyre cannot protrude further than the arch.

Am surprised at that to be honest mate, thought it would have to be the wheel!
