An average Cup is a fare bit faster than a 172, but with filter/exhaust/de-cat etc its seriously quick (low 14 secs car) Doing the above mods to your 172 will make it pretty quick, maybe stay with a standard stripped Cup up the strip.
His is the loud one, if its the one im thinking about he bought it from the_GZA from this forum. Its stupidly loud BTW ive been in GZAs Cup with it on and it was unbearable, also made the whole car rattle and vibrate (ooooer)
I dont think most of the powerflow dealers stock flanges so if they make you a de-cat they will want to butcher your CAT up!Pay 90£ and get a Janspeed one.
You would fail an MOT for loads of little things (lights, seat belts etc etc) does that mean the insurance can null your insurance????????????If you declare the de-cat its fine...
^^^ Agreed, the Cups handling is noticeably better than a 172. Annoyingly bouncy on some roads tho, wouldnt like to have to do many business miles in one..
Yoz, I got my Janspeed de-cat from http://www.motorsportworld.co.ukwww.motorsportworld.co.uk. I was going to go for the K-TEC hidden system but youve put me off it! You think they are that bad?
Touches wood, never ever locked up the brakes on my Cup unless Ive been really trying to. Ask Paul_CTR how good they are in the wet when youve got a set of F1s on your car, said it stopped quicker than his CTR with the sh*tty standard tyres on it.
