k-tec exhausts

do they last well and does ne 1 have the twin 3" cat back system on there 172???

had a 172 with a k-tec exhaust in at work yesterday.it had the quieter system on it with the centre silencer.sounded ok though.

how old was it and what kinda nik was it in???

how do u remove the old one and vice versa??

yes .cut it at the small straight bit near the rear axle (in the centre of the straight bit)

in my experience with ktec exhausts, they use poorer quality stainless than other manufacturers, the exhausts are boomy at motorway speeds, fitment however was excellent, but thats all i can say for them

this one with the centre silencer was ok in the car.never heard one of the loud systems yet though.

All our systems have a lifetime guarantee which we would not offer if we used "poorer" grade stainless steel than other exhaust manufactures. Our systems are made using 1.5mm thick 304 grade stainless steel while some manufacturers use 1.2mm thick stainless steel.

the "loud" one is a bit loud on the motorway, but with the centre silencer - which David will "add" if you want, it is not boomy on the motorway at all - its a very nice noise actually

and the service is 2nd to none from k-tec and I think everybody who has used them will agree

Mine is very LOUD! But thats how I like it, hence getting the original loud version.

Quality and fitment are excellent. Exhaust fitter said it went on very easily and after about 16months (I think) of ownership, still look brand new apart from a couple of burn marks.....

(Theyll be from the flames hehe!)

His is the loud one, if its the one im thinking about he bought it from the_GZA from this forum. Its stupidly loud BTW ive been in GZAs Cup with it on and it was unbearable, also made the whole car rattle and vibrate (ooooer)
