no can imagin it wouldnt mate thats the worry iv got with them rebuilding mine do you think with 16 new valves new belt when theyv put it all in will it run cos its only the bent valves that stop the compression isnt it surly they would not go throu rebulld ect if it wernt going to run

i cant wait to get her back at least with 16 new valves and a new timing belt shel be back to perfect again:D

ouch yeah its the waiting that kills and yeah its a very anxious times mate take it with yours then they didnt even attempt to try and rebuild your old engine with so much damage

what did it damage on your 182 engine for you to need a new engine then mate

does anybody know how long it will take a good mecanic to do 16 valves and a timing belt i was told i would proberly get my car bk friday but they only got parts late yesterday afternoon so im wundering now:D

depends on what speed you were doing really mate its gut wrenching when it happens hope you get it sorted out

well iv had a call from perrys work has been approved by warranty company so they are repairing my car:D they are putting 16 new valves in there were only 8 bent but they want to replace them all plus doing a new timing belt i know it takes a while todo but any one got any ideas how long perrys...

hi guys, not so long ago now my pretensioner failed causing my cambelt to slip damaging the head valves ect. the car is being repaired under warranty at perrys peugeot, ( 04 172). heard so many horror stories about bodged jobs, im expecting the car back friday but was wondering if i can TRUST...

garage rung today and the warranty assesore has approved the work so they are waiting for parts and they have said il hopefully have her back on friday:)

hi mate i had same prob same light came on put mine on a diagnostic came back as knock sensor was told id be ok to drive it round but when mine went on diagnostic it cleared the fault so light whent out for a couple of weeks came back on then went off again on its own if it comes on again tho...

well i have the peugeot approved platinum warranty 12 mths with no milage limit also no claim limit it includes mechanical and electrical breakdown warranty plus mot test warranty so i would have thought they would

it was a late regasterd one came across from france it was only 5 3 weeks ago they have taken bits off engin said what it is etc on about new valves n timing belt so i think they are they said they would sort it

all theyv said is its failed so it must be faulty its a 04 plate its done 70k it has no history of belt change they

hi mate welcome i have a 172 shes great i didnt go for the cup she never fails to put a smile on my face so id say go for a 172 my brother in law has a rb 182 i love it but they were out of my price range too
