well got aux kit today got 3 things in it belt, tensioner ,idler (little round thing) so all set for tomorrow does any one know how long it takes cheers

i wouldnt just only do the belt mate tensioner , pulley will need doing too im having mine done tomorrow i bought the aux belt kit from renault tday £133 with vat a macanic that i know is doing mine for £100 laboure better to be safe than sorry

seems common with them then nice to know im not on my own lol hoping my aux belt change sorts it tbh

hi mate yeah it does , only does it in first and second between 1 and 4 rpm not noticed it in any other gear

mine is whining when im reving car and when revs are dropping back would the aux belt been due cause a whine

ok cheers i had my timing belt done under warranty as the pretensioner collapsed bent 8 valves but they replaced all 16 but would not do aux belt as it wernt broke my mate is going to do my aux belt on wendsday so will tell him not to bother with the aux belt tool

thats good then we waited ages for us to be able to get a 182 or a 172 couldnt quite afford a 182 so went for next best thing the 172 n its great a big step from our 1,2 expresion plus my brother in law has a RB 182 and its stunning

hi well they have said 8 of them were bent iv not seen with my own eyes iv seen the car since it went in nearly 2 weeks ago and they were stripping it down but iv not seen the valves i dont know if yhey have done a compression test think they must have done whys that mate:D

lol wifes been same as me over it been broke but she loves the car just as much as me even tho she cant drive yet lol
