Defo get 205's as the 182's came with them as standard, gives you that tiny bit extra grip over the 195's
If you're just buying 2 then put the new 205's on the back then change the front when necessary also to 205's
Make sure the new 205's are on the back as if the front can't hold on in a...
Like all cars that have been around for a few years there's now a huge difference in condition, some very bads example and equally some very good... price does not always reflect condition
Make sure you shop around look at a few just for lookings sake
I used to have a 172 and a valver i...
Fantastic mods, what will the cars kerb weight be? power/weight?
So the back end is going Mk2 aswell, rear lights and bumper?
Are the bump strips going back on? 1.2 badges ;)
It was on here a while back in some article
Can't remember if its a 16v turbo or a willy
Don't think the times it was doing were mega quick considering what it looks like and the £ thats been spend on it
IIRC it was in comparison to a hybrid with mild cams
17's... why :-S
The liquid yellow is a gorgeous colour
I'd guess that you held the camera in front of you and used the screen as the view finder? you'll get better results holding it up to your eye nice nad steady
The finish looks a bit DIY and the postage is a rip off even though its from Italy for what looks like fibre glass which weighs nowt
Depends how badly you want them as you'll probably be able to tidy them up a bit
You're stuck with that bumper unless you change for a 172 front bumper but then you'll nedd the wider arches aswell so its becomes very expensive
As for the rear bumper the only subtle choice is the 172 bumper from 2001 onwards but you'll need matching arch liners aswell to do the job...
I've got them on my valver 205/40 R16 and love them
Soft compound, fantastic in the dry and surprisingly good in the wet
Used to go for A539's as a good all round tyre but i'll be getting more of these when needed
Can't really comment on noise as my cars has limited interior so road...
Get 4pots mate even on standard discs and some good pads you won't regret it
I've got big discs on my valver not that they're really needed but the power of the 4pots and the confidence and feel with braided hoses is excellent
If you did powder coat the cage white you could possibly wrap it in black tape in the style of the yellow/black hazard warning tape sort of zebra style or vice versa Black with white tape.
Would take ages to do it properly but theres a matt black mini round my way with a yellow/black bumble...
Cool so cosmetically its finished?
Private plate? something subtle like N### BHP ;)
Have you knocked out the front indicators secondary lense for the crystal effect?
You've got to come to the FCS this year so i can see it (and hear it) in the metal!
Where ever you put it you'll need to have it lit for vit to pass an MOT
Fair enough smooth the boot etc but i'd leave the number plate where it is otherwise it'll end up 'stuck on' and will look like a total after thought
^ The factory windscreens have the anti glare to them you can see it looking front on at the car where the small central storage space is on top of the dash board above the centre console theres a square shaped gap in the film
17's fit valvers or williams no probs even if lowered 50mm due to the wider arches
Theres very few people on here who put 17's on a 'performance' clio due to the negative effects on handling and acceleration... Tom included ;)
