    I think you just need to spend some time in the car and get used to it. It took me a good 3 months to get used to the power after coming from my 1.6 Fiesta Zetec-S. I used to get the power on far to early and it would just understeer for England, now Im used to it I have learnt to control it...

    advice/opinion on 1.2 Extreme (might buy)

    Nice first car! I had a hire 1.2 16v the other day and it was a nice car, nippy when you wound it up and really easy to drive. Your age would be ok for a 172 but your lack of NCB would hike the price up a lot! I bought my 172 when I was 21 (now 22 and nearly 23....ahhhh getting old now!) but...

    Can I fit 17s on a 172 without any probs

    My 172 MK2 has been lowered 30mm all round on Eibachs and I have 17" alloys with 205/40 tyres on......no problems with scrubbage even with 4 people in the car and a boot full of luggage!

    Yeah its all in the box. From memory you get: Windscreen sucker thing Sun visor mounting Blanking thing for dashboard mounting

    They are a piece of pi$$ to install! I have mine on the windscreen pointing through the non reflective part. You should be fine to put it anywhere in a 16v. I run the cable down the side of the console in mine.

    Well the new V6 comes out around April/May next year so I would guess about June/July they would begin being able to source parts. Dont know how much it would be though?
