Mike, How long have you been into photography and DSLR's for? You go on about and give advice as if you've been doing it your whole life, when I thought it was around 3-4 months? I've had mine 6 months and only just starting to scratch the surface

wangled sky+ for free last week, they offered me it at £149 + £30 inst after i asked to cancel, I held firm and got it for nowt :D

I've got the 37" model of the Philips that you're looking at, very very good. www.avforums.com will be able to answer your questions better though (informed judgement geeks)

Basically deepens the sky and rich colours and takes reflections off water/glass etc.

Agreed that the kit lens on the canon/nikon are pony compared to the Oly, but the cost and availabilty of lenses for the Oly is a feckin joke! Hence me trading my e400 in for a 400d

OK the Samsung was out of stock, so they've given me a Phillips 37PFL7662D instead, the Sky signal is proper flaky (maybe as i've got a £2 scart cable oops!) anyone recommend a decent cable or other way of connecting Std sky box btw

No way, I had an e400, traded it in for a 400d, lenses were VERY expensive and not much choice, plus 3 AF points was ghey
