Interesting to see a few clios there with the normal problems..

As far as i know, no one has done anything to 1.4s or 1.6s, as the most popular clios over here are the 1.2s or the 172s. There are hardly any modifications to make other than getting the 1.6 rally car parts, if youre really keen it would be worth investigating this as these cars have 220bhp (i...
If its just on looks and really you want those comforts go for the 172 and get some Turinis and the spoilers from the Cup as 172gal has said, but if youre planning to do some track days take the Cup, its not like its extreme! I see blokes in Elises taking on the M25 all the time..

Yep as Rhys says, and when do you know youre on a flat road? Never.so it will never be accurate! I personally wouldnt bother unless you want data logging for track, just getting it for 0-60 times is a waste of £100 or whatever it costs these days.

Because powerflow is just a franchise..all it is it a garage welding some universal pipes together. Youd be likely to lose power from a powerflow, whereas a k-tec would maintain or increase. My k-tec also sounds good..but i have a bit of strange corrosion on the tailpipe..

The bigger the spacers the more stress in the suspension components and it can effect geometry blah blah, basically not a good idea unless you use proper ones and even they might not be enough to bring the wheels out. Might be worth selling and gettings new ones?

Ah fair enough then, looks like we know where your student loans will be going!
Yours is a twin..so the noise will resonate more and so will be louder. Once yours fully soots up though it will be a bit quieter, i remember when i travelled home from Bryans after getting mine fitted, it was...
pop in to Dorset! Im using RSR tyres in Bromley..a 15 min job the bloke there reckons! I wouldnt bother going to k-tec..
Yours will be louder than mine, looking forward to seeing it.

Because those old threads have been archived i think.
Jon1978 im laughing my head off at your defence of this, didnt you do any research into the Ecotek before fitting it?
-Rob

Look in the cliosport gallery, in other clios . On one of the last pages it shows this kit you mention. Sometimes you have to refresh the page to see all the pics though..as the websites never fixed :@

I was told by Renault..hardly concrete..but the RR figures from Cup owners on here are consisently closer to the correct BHP, and i cant see it being coincidence considering the variance with 172s.
-Rob
All Clio Cup engines are bench tested for 172bhp, it would be interesting to know what renault do to the engines which dont quite make the grade..is there an obvious fault they put right..or do they not care and sell it anyway? If i had a 172 with a crappy power id be investigating that...

Depends where holes are facing..if you get a replacement filter inside there and its getting some cool air, its just as good as any aftermarket crap.
