I have a 42" with 1080p compatibility, i thought it would be noticeable considering 1080i over 720p is quite noticeable.

i knew you'd say that, damn. BUT what about games like GoW which say are running at 1080i, do you think thats the highest they will go? do you think new games will come out at 1080p? or perhaps revised versions of the same games?

will running games at 1080p through HDMI be better than 1080i through component? that will dictate whether i should buy an elite or not! the bigger hd doesn't bother me at all, i still have loads of room on my current drive.

honestly the whole point of my thread was not to big up 360's i'm open minded and certainly not a fanboy, i wanted more from the ps3 really and what i've played wasn't more, it was the same. The resistance fall of man should have been in 1080 as a standard, i just thought all the launch...
