yeah technology gets on my nerves, i forked out a fair bit on a future proof 1080p telly but it does'nt run 1080 through vga only hdmi, now most of the tellys you've mnetioned are running it through VGA aargh
Re: TheSloth - my first self build.
literally - only way to make sure it's ok is boot into bios and check the temperatures....some require a lot more than you think others less.... on my p4 it's was thinish....i know that doesn't help.
Re: TheSloth - my first self build.
are you installing aftermarket heatsinks? if so you should be careful when applying thermal paste, it's a bit scary!
well i'm not sure about that, i had a nitemare getting it anywhere less than £280 and that was when the wii was around and people were saving for the infamous ps3.
fair play, we'll have to see, i was just making an observation that a lot of people will make after seeing it's price drop...
was on tomshardware the other day looking at the vg charts and it looks like ati are ahead the at the moment. i'd wait till you can get hdmi out dx10 on a single card setup. isnt' the highest only like 756mb RAm too, won't the next gen ones be 1gig?
On thursday watched 'the covenant' on blu-ray on a £10k projector with a dedicated blu ray player... couldn't even tell the differnece to dvd, until we then watched casino royal on the same dedicated player only on dvd and then you could really draw the differences, especially on the 80" screen...
well to anyone, even you ps3 fanboys, it's not exactly a positive thing price droppng in 2 weeks of release....never happened with the 360 now did it....
nod are awesome, i'm one like chapter 5 of the nod campaign as i clocked gdi now. it' good fun, there are some weird missions, i wish they had done a scin campaign though.
i don't actually think the levels are that short, some of the later ones take a good while and yuou get to use all your...
nah i disagree, it's still easy to recover from a superweapon, at least there isn't the imbalance of the nuke being stupid and the ion cannon being pathetic. the alien superweapon is really good too.
the trick is to make sure you spread you base out. at the end of the day, as superweapon is...
does it not run 1080 KDF? odd.
I've personally found the best way to run dvd's is through a pc on a VGA input. better picture quality than a top of the range sony HD dedicated upscaler. honeslty i'm serious.
you can use VNC i did for a while but it was a pain for me and i needed to run a static ip using my vpn from work. it's easier to use remote desktop to be honest and just note down your ip address before you leave the house. ...
heh, funny thread.
we'll see, if you ask me, with 1 years development time in the bag, the 360 will have another console out within about 3 years anyway.... but as i say, we'll see.
seriously i'm on like the ground zero mission and it's rock solid. nod and aliens vs you. They both got superweapons AND youhave like 6 minutes to get your base up and defended as well as capture they're fusion generator or whatever it's called. so glad they upped the strength of the ion cannnon...
not very well on my machine actually....i have problems running it through VGA on m bravia. however it goes up to 1200x800 or something like that i think....
