you'll be able to pick up budget tyres from £30 upwards but imo the only tyre to fit is a michelin pe2.
the yokohama prada is a good tyre but a little sketchy in the wet
Also starting on tidying up the interior. didn't get much done as the wiper arms were seized on, but eventually got them off. Removed the alarm and wiring, also removed the rear washer piping.
More to follow.......
thanks for that jord!
so as you can probably guess i've done my first track day in the 172 (mallory park for the RTOC national day), thoroughly enjoyed myself and now glad i started this project!! Can't wait for oulton park in september now.
Here's a few more pics that i've pinched off...
this is the reason i sold my 182. i free'd up £2000 to spend on mods but a lot of that money went on making the new 172 ph1 sound in the first place (top mounts, brakes, abs sensor, ball joint etc)
182 cup has boggo interior, no cruise, no xenons just little things that save weight
trophy has recaro's (with no side airbags) and speedline wheels to reduce weight
prices have dropped massively and i wouldnt let a cheaper option put you off looking at one. i sold my 182 ff (86k on the clock) for £3.6k which was mint but jus the high mileage people off. 86k is nothing on these engines
