I'm running ferodo ds2500 with brembo hc discs.... Very Impressed. They get abused in some very quick sessions and have covered about 25k so far... Still bite hard, I've never had fade yet... About half worn I'd say.

Long shot and depends on your model etc but there is a spline coupling on the offside shaft, these can wear and slip, causing loss of drive and a bizarre sound.... Worth a look.

Had to fit a new gearbox to a customers dcI as this exact same thing had happened and they didn't realise so carried on driving. Pretty easy to replace just ensure its in square. :)

Just fit all brakes and then do then. It shouldn't make a difference tbh but that's how id do it.

Do the fluid flush after replacing your brake parts mate. Can easily flush fluid without easybleed kit. Get a mate to pump the pedal while you open and close the bleed nipple as required. Pretty easy. Remember to start furthest from the master cylinder and work in diagonals. Ie. Rear...
