i work at renault and we get cars in all the time that have never been serviced at a renault dealer and they can still claim items under warranty if within 3 years/60k.
its a bit of pisser because you know they only ever use the dealers for free stuff and you do just feel like telling them...
servicing intervals on the 197's are 12k or 12 months whichever is the sooner. i believe the 172/182 is 12k or 2 years.
the servicing will not void the warranty within the first 3 years but would definately affect you chances of renault ever paying out for repairs after the 3 year warranty is up.
ive got a ktr panel filter in mine. never drove the standard filter so cant comment on the differences bit i plan on rigging up a cold air feed at some point
quality thread chris. wish i had a garage to do something like this. car looked sweet when i picked up your 182. you going to the oct marham track day?
ok thanks :) that was the biggest decider really. i could probably just about afford the cams but a not a remap aswell. looks like i'll give the cams a miss
ive been with direct line for 4 years and my rents are too. you get a discount for having more than one person in a household with direct line insurance. Always been the cheapest for me. My bro made a claim from hem and they were v easy to deal with.
But as above, dont even think about it if...
and i presume they will fit on a lowered 182? at the moment i have aibach springs fitted but maybe looking to get coilys in the future
thanks for the swift responses guys :)
Well i've ot my car booked in for its cambelt change. But one of the mods i was considering was cams. I know it makes sense to change them together but my question is it is really worth it.
I have read about the catcams 428 and they dont seem to work right without a remap?
A remap is...
nice one cheers guys. i want to give my 182 a wider look (and to fill out the arches) which should i go for?
i can never remember if a higher or lower ofset makes them stick out more!
what are the standard discs in diameter?
do you know when and where this kit is coming out. i can get the calipers and pads cheap through work jus would just need the conversion kit
Will the calipers from a 197 fit onto a 182? I guess the discs are different sizes between the 2 models. Does anybody know the size of the 197 discs as i would have to find a 4 stud disc in that size. Would the calipers bolt straight on or need brackets?
Thanks Tom
the roof mounted system is the best way to go if you can afford (and go for the thule stuff its awsome) but my pendle strap-on rack with hatch higgers fit fine aswell for a rear rack
that noble was sweet!!
i was talking to a guy with a 205 (with a gti6 engine bored to a 2.2!!) and he was saying track temperatures were hitting nearlly 40 degrees and it was running about half a second slower for cars
yea that hotrod was nuts. when i first saw it (excuse me for saying this) i thought wtf is that!! lol but then watched it down the strip and thought that is mental fair play!
were you the guy who gave us the thumbs up when i went to start queing?
Got my runs down to 15.6 in the end. not bad...
