Wouldnt it just be better to put an avantime turbo onto the 172 lump. Generally a turbo makes 40-60bhp ontop of the engines output so the engine would have to be uprated to well over 200bhp, and the normal renault 2 litre is no where near that. I cant see the point in throwing away a perfectly...

maff i get the same problem, sometimes i have to forget 2nd and put it in third instead! Youre right though i think it doesnt like high revs for that shift. -Rob

I would get it with ABS and leave the aircon if that choice was there. If i were you id get a 172, not much difference in speed but quite a bit more comfort if you can afford the extra. If you like the car to be a bit more raw, less forgiving and more track biased then get the Cup. -Rob
