I'm not 100% but as 2 of the colours are the same (beige) i would guess that's the -ve as this is the common between the two speakers. The differently coloured cables are probably the +ve.

Should really hold their value ok seen as the Vee is now no longer in production, and as more and more get written off etc they will become rare meaning the value is retained.

turn ignition key all the way round but don't start the car. switch the lights on and off again 2 or 3 times. this will turn the auto-function back on. iirc you should hear a beep confirming this.
got the PackardBell software library which is where all the software is i believe, but when i try to run (AutoRun) it says the application failed to initialise. So I cannot check the DVD contains XP
hmmmm...think i'm going to go back to Dixons tomorrow tbh mate, we've got every conceivable CD for the printer, digi cam etc but no XP cd. We've even got the XP manual complete with XP key as you say, but no software :(
