Yeah some heavy duty velcro should work ok mate. Also there are vertical support bars just inside the fabric of the seatback, if you make a small hole either side of these uprights in the desired position you could then feed ty-wraps (cable ties)through and behind the bars to fasten your amp to.

Can't you just get an Aux cable and plug that in the rear where the changer would connect? 3.5mm > Aux phono lead.

the kit itself is £135~ if you look in the right places. Fitting them can be a right t**t believe me. It all depends on your particular car. Mine had the wiring behind the bumper but the loom went nowhere so the cables weren't present at the steering console. Had to get it wired by reno in end...

so, 205 45 R16's would be fine on 172 16's?

I'm not certain either but I know mine had ABS and PAS which I was told is quite rare for the early models.
