try and aim to get an amp that outputs up to 20% more power than the speaker/sub rating
gives you head room so you don't destroy any speakers
a few upgades on the wiring can help alot (main one being the -ve from chassis to battery)
yeah got debian on one sd card and raspbmc rc3 on an other
got a little 4 line lcd running in debian giving me some info (although can get IP address to work) and got omxplayer installed which seems to work pretty well
going to try get raspbmc running off a usb stick/hard drive next see if...
best thing to do is get a new h/u to iso lead
cut speaker wires on said lead in middle
take the ones from h/u side to input of cross over
then from the woofer output on cross over to the ones on the iso side
install new cable from tweeter output on cross over to new tweeter
i'd be booting a live session of ubuntu and go on the attack with the delete button with anything that looks slightly out of place
there might even be a virus scanner for it
i bought a set of clocks to trial changing the leds on and that came with white needles (they were off an auto)
but i only fitted them to a 1.6 but i doubt the dials are any different apart from span
