the rubber holds the cone in the center of the voice coil gap if it is not spot on it just wont work. trust me take them out of the box with the sub and bin them.

if the cone has come away for the rubber surround it's fucked you need to get it spot it for it to work right

unless you lose a cell completely you will almost all ways get 12v but only a proper drop test will show it's Capacity (Ah) the lead plates inside can get ruined and thats how you will lose the ability to start the car but still show 12v

i know this may sound crazy but you might have a faulty ignitor.

they give the power ratings @ 14.4v to make them look better (higher voltage = higher power output on most amps) 100wRMS is more than enough for a set of components

simple voltage check would tell you if it's fucked if the battery is not around 13.8-14.4v after the car is running for 2 mins then yes it is broke

a faster cpu will make every thing faster. have a look on ebay see what you can find (this would be an upgrade i think)

i'd be looking to see what the fastest cpu you can shove in it coupled with a big HDD and it would be ok

the xl is only a single core cpu so it is lower spec than the standard sensation also the normal and xe comes with a higher res screen than the xl
