The MPG seems to have improved greatly in mine now. I've had it from new since October 2007 and when I first got it and up 'til around 12,000 mile mark I was getting around 26-28MPG. It's now averaging at 31 - 32MPG and it's done 17,500 miles.

I think the problem with locking the doors is down to the sensor behind the door handle. If your shadow covers the sensor, whilst you are pressing the door lock button, then it won't lock.

Good choice Mark. I nearly bought one in October, last year. But held fire and ended up buying a 55 plate 1.2 Panda in January. The Panda is fine A-B, going to work, etc.... But sooooooooooooo slow. The Panda's got four doors though... Thanks christ I still have my R27.

The GT (although lowered) looks a hundred times better. Even if the Gordini was lowered it would still look a hundred times worse.

Looks a tidy car and a nice price. Just make sure it's had it's major service done (cambelt, pulleys aux belt, etc) If it hasn't, factor in a 700 quid service for the price that you offer the trader.

My R27: On KW Variant 1's and using an ITG panel filter.

Revised gear ratios were on 57 plate - The new ratios were introduced mid October 2007.

R27, although the 200 Cup I drove around Cadwell, was pretty special. Just a pity the front of it looked special needs.
