I would say it's more to do with the gear ratios. If you drive a 197 like a pansy (ie changing gear when you hit 3k rpm) then it ain't much different than a 182. The engine note of the 197 is so addictive to listen to when it's running over 5k rpm, so you just tend not to shift up a gear.

To me those wheels look very similar to what are fitted to some Laguna 2s? I bet you could get a cheap set from flea bay or something and get them refurbed in black??

Well the dealer I bought my R27 from gave me a couple of hundred quid less than £8000 for my 182 Cup as a trade in. The R27 was stupidly cheap as well.
