Probably a bit late but im having trouble understanding how a spherical bearing can be preloaded? I was always under the impression that preload was acheived by aligning both bearing races in a certain way and spherical bearings only have the one "race" as far as i can see. Im not an engineer...

Hmmm sounds promising will it not be busy? Would be worth a try to get the Clio looking her best, I'll seal and wax her well so the grime comes off easily and a bit of detailing spray for the little bits should do the Job eh?

So this'll be my first show and coming from north of Aberdeen I can almost guarantee the car will be a mess by the time I reach Edinburgh, What suggestions on cleaning would you "veterans" have on getting her clean near the venue? Sensible suggestions please

You'll have to clean up the oil best you can then run engine Upto temp to see where it's leaking from, garage should've done that to find a leak, impossible to find a leak when everything is covered in oil :(
