Why?
I would either do it as a video or as a cartoon, you can even "trace" a pic, if you like it and convert it into an image.
What exactly do you need?
Some people choose the tackiest things, I don't know how or why.
read the original post :p, we already have full versions of office but they are hosted for us, including exchange and our insurance software via citrix.
Sharepoint is stupidly expensive with them, so we would like it separately, hence why needing the office functionality as sharepoint won't...
Which bootcamp version did you use?
The one that comes with the mac (if you have tiger or snow leopard) or did you download it?
But generally, yes, no issues, wireless, cam and everything works well.
I have windows 2008 on mine.
iWeb is nice, but it's flexibility is somewhat limited.
What do you mean you can't choose where the image is placed, do you mean within the text?
iWeb does work wonders with that aspect, but it's really different.
Wordpress is fantastic, specially as free.
:)
Very easy, same as any other operating system.
I would download the latest version from the apple site, follow the instructions for the installation, and there you are.
Don't forget to do all the windows updates and install and AV too.
XPE is windows XP embedded, normally comes on HP thin clients and so on.
It's just a cut down version of XP, it also includes some extra stuff which is handy.
Depends on how you are going to use them and so on.
I take it you guys have citrix/vmware or similar?
Are you?
Always on the help!!!
Thanks buddy, let me know how you get on.
I really want to implement it, just havent had time, been pondering for ages know.
If users can modify all the documents and so on, WITHOUT having MS office installed locally, then this is a winner, an absolute winner...
Hi,
With 2007 it integrates nicely with office 2007, not really with 2003.
What I want to know is, with SharePoint 2010, can you use the word / excel services without actually having office installed locally on the machine?
I don't care if it's far more basic, than without the local copy...
The speedtest is pinging from your router to the proposed destination.
How is your internal wireless going to affect the speed at which the internet connection downloads the files?
Additionally, it doesn't portray the true speed, merely an indication as to what it is and every time, it's going...
I tried doing this, but not very successfully, will try and find the notes.
Let's talk about word for instance.
Every word application, has a default template, which is stored locally on each PC. What some people do, is create a default template, store it on a server, then modify all those...
In the end, I went for Kaspersky as it worked out about 20% cheaper.
Will give it a go and see how we get on.
Also, I have found that it's less resource intensive, which is good as most machines are pants.
We will see.
Cheers guys.
I normally delete the account and rejoin the machine. Obviously the hostnames will still be on the DNS servers, so we have it setup just as Jacko said :)
I'll have a play around.
Excellent stuff.
Hi,
Just wondering what process you guys do for this.
Basically, each office has a logical naming convention for desktops/laptops and so on.
For instance, WA101 and so on.
We are rebuilding some machines, one by one, as they are all so different, there is no point in creating images...
