Annoyingly over the last few months at some point my front jacking points have become a lot more bent than they used to be.
I want a go at straightening them out and painting/protecting them.
Any tips?
I forgot to measure my original drop on sportlines, now I'm on coilovers I want to get it roughly the same again.
172 on 16" turinis and 195's for reference.
I know they'll all be a little different so I'm hoping for a few to take an average. Front only please!
Ta!
Might be a silly question mind!
If you have minor dents do these need to be removed before the vinyl goes on or are they hidden by the thickness of the vinyl?
Before I go into it I'm the second owner of this car and it's first (female) owner was very upfront about everything to do with the car...
I have invoices from Renault for when the first owner took the car back to renault for a paint defect on the drivers door and was rectified. No biggie -...
Me and the missus' (almost) are getting married next June in Bolton.
I've took control of booking a photographer as for me its one of the most important things!

Ok so I'm going to finally get my private plate soon and as I understand it the one the car has always had will become void unless I keep it on retention...
Now after I would pay the £105 to put it on retention is that it? Do you have to pay that every 12 months or is it a one of fee?
I'm...
Like say k-tecs for example are reported to be soft, are we talking softer than standard shocks springs? softer than sportlines? or just soft compared to harder coilovers?
Just curious!
I'd go a little harder than sportlines but not by much, mind you I really couldn't tell the difference...
This is bugging me now, my fogs have always worked, never use them but thats not the point!
Just looking round the car for the mot checks and hmm front fogs not working - fair enough not tested at mot anyway but I don't tolerate faults!
Fuse is fine but replaced anyway, swapped the relay...
I can help feeling my car looks a bit too nose heavy, the front is spot on height wise for me but the rear just looks odd, its a tad too high. Car is standard trim with spare and boot carpet etc so theres no option to throw a load of weight at it.
I was transporting two heavy bags of sand...
Spend your all your money on a 40D or go for a 450D and use the spare cash to get a better lens?
I like the more robust body of the 40D but prefer the slightly lighter 450D also!
Out of the box the 40 does take a better photo but I reckon spending extra £££ on a good lens would restore the...
Do you use a pen drive/memory stick with it?
Just wondering if you have the same niggle I do, sometimes when you switch the car on it just decides not access the stick, I have to switch the headunit off then on again and its fine, just seems not to like the car being started.
Small niggle...

Saw a little bit of liquid under the car when I moved out of a parking space today, Nooooo I thought not now what the hell?!?!
Did the old dip and lick test, hmm water, just water..
Well that rules out...
Keep getting silly quotes without people actually seeing the car and its annoying me now, has anyone any experience with a good one who doesn't quote random silly numbers?
Is there a known common reason why every last drop of water I pour into the water bottle just comes out behind the arch liner? lol
It's funny and quite annoying at the same time, it comes out that quick by the time I've shut the bonnet, started the car and tried washing the windscreen its all...
Ages ago people were struggling with their rear bumper inserts being too short from streamline, reason being that 172s 182's seemed to have differing lengths of inserts, was deemed the longer one would be better!
I bought a brand new one last year and mine is too short, now dialogys only...
The missus' new corsa has come up really well bar the gaps inbtween all the badges, being stuck on and in good condition I don't want to take them off if I can help it!
The cars silver so it shows up the muck more :o

Edit: Jumped the gun there! on first viewing I though it was a Clio, watched it again and I can't quite make out what it is! Citroen C3?
Occasionally a while back the speedo would drop to zero for a while, then would pop back on. One day it did it and didn't come back, give the dash a wallop and voila!
Been doing this on every occasion until it started working perfectly last Nov. Then last week it started acting up again...
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this?
I'd prefer to go lower with the car but without sacrificing ride quality - at the moment its on std shocks and sportlines and I wouldn't like to go any harder on ride if I'm honest - if thats not possible I'd just stay as I am I think.
Used to use Ares and the like but it's total toss now...
I use NZB Matrix for other things but my I had a folder of my all time fave songs and its now corrupt, plus some were rough versions anyway!
So I need somewhere I can get single mp3's without any hassle!
I fancy getting a set of these to replace mine, thing is they only seem to come in 205's!
I was all set to try 205's (always run 195's until now) but then I realised I have cup turinis now..
The trophys ran 205's albeit on a smaller offset turini, will I be ok on the cup turinis with 205's...

Someone who can do some tyre swapping for me and not damage any of the 8 immaculate wheels they'll be playing with, I've had rubbish experiences in the past with tyre fitters!
I'd actually travel a decent distance if it mean a decent service.
I've currently got one of these..
