From what we could see theyve done a fantastic job and the welds look really nice, will get it jacked up in coming days and get under to have a further gander.
Yes wheels will be changed soonish, going to get it run in, then order 18" CCW's black centres with polished lips, going for 315 wide...
Update
Dad and I have collected the car and got it transported home from Haywood and Scott Exhausts earlier today and now tucked up in the garage.
We had made for the car a new 4inch Y piece downpipe from the turbos along with a 4inch decat pipe from the Y piece which mated up to the...
Cars now waiting to be transported the exhaust place to be done, the transporting company were suppose to be here at 9am but have forgotton it was booked in, so were waiting like plebs now till they have someone free and its pissing down.
However me and dad managed to push the car out the...
Haha!
Ah brilliant, yeah arundel road is only 5 mins from me, i have a mate who lives in arundel road and has a white r26 as a matter of fact, nice area .
Thanks Mark! Yeah he is very happy with it, started back in november 2012 so been a long time coming. Apart from the paint job and engine machining he's done everything so very pleased. He's one of these people who likes to do as much himself so he knows its done correctly and not bodged...
Few photos of the car at the moment,
Bumper has been taken off and bonnet put on so that it can be taken for the exhaust to get done this coming Monday.
Everything engine wise is done, all plumbed in, just needs oil, coolant and power steering fluid and a base map after the exhaust has been done...
Looks a nice RB mate, best colour for sure.
Don't suppose you were in Benfleet/Tarpots heading towards Sadlers Farm about 4.30pm yesterday?
Saw a similar car and there's not many around this way in that colour.
That's exactly why the bay isn't gloss black, with the smoothing and relocating of engine bay parts if it was black you wouldn't see as much it really hides.
Anyway it's not the finished article yet, new wheels still yet to go on along with a few other exterior parts.
Everyone can have their own opinion which is fair enough.
It's a standard Supra just in Orange no aftermarket body kits etc.
Jamie's Supra was nice but at the end of the day it was just standard Black, which my Dad didn't want.
Few more bits done to the car recently, getting there slowly.
Power Steering reservoir has been relocated to the suspension turret and painted gloss black, along with the lines running to the pump and also power steering cooler that has been installed to keep fluid temps down;
Also the...
Thanks mate, yeah it is very clean underneath, basically a new car with with the parts and powdercoated bits!
Cheers mate, yeah they are very shiny!
Should be finishied by next year mate, although a project like this is never finished as my Dad would say, I'll see what he says about CSS :D...
Thanks for all the replies guys.
Me and my Dad had 3 days off work this week to try and get some solid days straight working on the car, managed to get quite a few bits done.
Haven't got photo's of it all unfortunately.
Propshaft has been reinstalled and fitted.
Front suspension fully...
Thanks mate!
My dad owns his own Engineering company so has vast amounts of mechanical background and knowledge, however I don't... I'm just learning as I'm going along!
Will mainly be driven on the road mate, along with some shows and also the 1/4 mile at Santapod.
Not just a show queen...
Another update, Car's been booked in at Haywood & Scott Exhausts on Monday 24th August, to have the Y Pipes enlarged (they are fully booked before then), as the car can't be driven there yet because it's not mapped, and it can't be mapped until the exhausts have been finished, means Dad and I...
Thanks mate, has been a long time in the making to what it is now.
Can't wait either until it's started up :D, i'll make sure i'll get some videos!
Cheers mate, I reckon it has a good chance that's for sure.
Ha thanks!
Cheers mate, paintwork is top notch can't fault it.
Sounds like a plan [emoji106], North Weald isn't far at all.
Haha thanks mate, Dads really pleased with it! Taken 2 and a half years to get to this stage, pretty much a whole new car.
Thanks mate, haha maybe I should change the thread title!
Cheers
Thanks Mate
It does doesn't it, very shiny!
Thanks mate, Darnley Autoworks in Rochester Kent painted it, http://darnleyautoworks.co.uk/index.html
Thanks mate
Well at last the Engine and Transmission are finally sitting in the Car!
Was hard work and few brown trouser moments getting it in, as we didn't want to scratch or mark any of the newly painted engine bay.
Everything was wrapped in copious amounts of bubble wrap to try and stop and marks!
Few...
Got some more things done to the car recently but not many photos.
The down pipes from each turbo have been wrapped in titanium heat wrap.
Oddysey race battery has been bought and fitted, had to get a small battery as it is now located behind the rear seat and space is limited.
Front mount...
Few more bits done to the car recently - my dad found a company that makes real leather covers for most of the interior panels, the standard ones are just a grey plastic - very 90's.
Once the covers arrive you have to use fabric glue and stick them to the current panels.
Here are the photos...
The Wiring Loom is fully complete now and all plugs and wires are connected to the Syvecs ECU , it is now just a case of connecting the loom to the car/engine.
The Intercooler and Twin Kenlowe fans are fitted too:
The Vielside inlet plenum is also now fitted with the throttle body...
Saw a LY Clio 4 200EDC, about 10.30am/10.45 this morning on the A12 Chelmsford bound, around the margaretting/ingatestone junction. Was in the outside lane, anyone on here?
