The website is - http://www.easterngeneralrecovery.co.uk
And there phone number is 01277 227691
We used there Mercedes vario truck.
Hope that helps
Hi mate, when my dad had his supra transported from Wickford to Rochester in Kent for being painted he used a company from billericay/Brentwood. I think they charged £150 for return journey but that was for the biggest recovery truck they had as the supra was on dollys/casters and needed the...
Thankyou
Some specialists like Mark black on megane forum will do it for around £700
But most normal garages/Renault specialists are around 1k, DMF is like £400 from Renault on it's own!
I thought about solid flywheel but apparently the engine light is constantly on with one fitted?
Thankyou mate, after remap they map to about 260/265 on Stage 1.
Thanks mate, loved your one too.
Cheers!
Thanks Chief, yeah overall I do prefer it too the Clio for me it handles better, goes better and sounds better, but I miss the Clio for things like MPG I use to get 37+ out the clio...
Hi, I haven't put up a progress thread yet on my Megane.
I've owned it for almost 18 months now and came from a Clio 172 Cup.
Mostly been maintenance so far rather than modifications but they will come in due course!
The car is a Phase 1 225 Cup.
Since i've owned it I have had the Cambelt/Aux...
Thanks mate yeah the engine bay is going to look very good with the relocation of parts.
Thanks mate.
It will indeed be abit of a monster, can't wait to see it finished. Hopefully more engine updates as soon as possible.
1000 at the crank/flywheel mate.
Yeah it will probably be ccw's but not 100% yet.
Yeah we're going for 12 inch wide rears, they just fit under stock arches, but you have to have the arches rolled which is what the bodyshop has done already.
Yes mate that's what we thought, it was going well until we said about the Main caps, and then they said they weren't sure as they've never done a Supra block before, so didn't use them in the end.
Thanks mate, hopefully have some more updates soon.
Yeah buy a standard Supra TT which is around 300hp, if you don't touch the Pistons/Rods/Cams/Cylinder head and just wack a single Turbo on it, you could probably get too 700hp for give or take 13k in parts, that includes, Turbo Kit...
Oh that's cool mate, where in Essex are you from?
Haha yeah I did expect that quote amongst others a bit earlier in the thread lol!
That's ok mate, no offence was taken :D, appreciate the kind words about the build. Yeah Supra's can definitely be a bit of a handful that's for sure, there more...
Thanks mate, I do enjoy doing it with him.
Cheers!
Thanks mate. Why not build a 1000bhp car?
It won't be used everyday. My dad finally has the funds and time to be able to do something like this and he has wanted too for as long as I can remember, he's an engineer by trade and has always...
Have a few more photos of little bits and bobs that have been fitted recently.
Smaller Honda S2000 Aeriel fitted -
A photo of the Titan Main Caps fitted to the block -
Front wiper mechanism's and seal fitted -
Rear Toyota Badge and brake light fitted -

Thankyou
Ah small world then dude, we were probably in the same theme parks at the same time!
Thanks Chief
Indeed mate there's a lot of nice products going into this build! Yeah we love the spoiler! Proper work of art genuine carbon too.
Thanks mate! Yeah no point in faffing about, do right the first time.
Haha bought a couple of parts from japan, but they didn't come overnight more like a few days! Will have to try and get some overnight ;-)
Thanks mate!
Thanks mate, yeah I bet it's going to be a very different experience...
Indeed mate we are intrigued, an identical engine spec one of my dads friend had on his supra rolled at 985bhp at the flywheel, but my dads set up has wilder cams so we reckon it will just break the 1000bhp mark we hope.
Nope never been in 1k Bhp car before, my dads was 440 before being worked...
A few more photos I have found that may be of interest, the fuel tank which has been cleaned and reinstalled -
All new Aerotop seals from America -
Door handles, interior door handles and window mechanisms refitted -
Making a start on covering interior panels in Alcantara this is the a...
I think I did mention that in my first post ? If not apologies, yes the block was line bored to suit the main caps we definitely did not just fit them haha, the first engine place we asked called goznays in romford didn't know what we were on about so weren't keen on giving the engine to them...
Thanks for all the kind words guys, it's appreciated. The colour might not be too everyone's taste, but it's NOT going to be a fast and furious replica with shopping lists and graphics. There is a hell of a lot of blood sweat and tears gone into this, apart from the respray my dad has done...
The car was at the bodyshop for a month whilst the work was done, this was it being bought home on the transporter in December.
We got the car home off the transporter and few pictures on the driveway...
Now the car was back we could start the slow rebuild, this is now over Christmas 2013...
Hi all,
Thought I would show a few progress pictures of my dads Toyota Supra build that we are currently undergoing.
It is a home build and him and me (when I can help out) are doing all of the work to the car ourselves.
The build actually started in December 2012 that was when the Supra was...
Saw a black 172 with private plate ending in HEB, parked down Broomfield road near the Ship pub, around 10.15am today. Had a cliosport sticker in the rear window.
Anyone on here?
Think I recognise your user name from my old sax-p days and because your from Chelmsford, did you use to own a mk2 VTS? And go to meets in galleywood? I use to own a red mk1 Saxo automatic.
Sorry if I've got the wrong person haha just thought I recognise the username.
Afternoon guys,
My brother has a mk2 2001 Clio, 1.2 Dynamique.
He had a low speed crash in it recently and bent the front subframe. He got a garage to replace the subframe etc.
He has since had the car back, and the car does not self-centre and the steering feels stiff/heavy one minute and goes...
