V10, RWD and a noise that they heard upstairs in the showroom when the tech fired her up to move to the ramp earlier...
Full Gtechniq Ultra package for this one into next week for pickup 1 March. Never a huge R8 fan until today - loving this one.
Weirdly one of my favourites of 2017. Full Gtechniq coatings throughout including the white (and I mean white!) interior. Hell of a car and yes we did set up the dancing thing for the client...
Old vs new this week. First up an 07 RS4 in desperate need of some love. Still not perfect but a lot better.
Followed up with a 70 mile S3 which aside from some marring to the bonnet was a breeze by comparison...
Big turnaround on this baby. Tracked and thoroughly fecked. 3 days later and she’s done with Gtechniq to finish. Gotta say, if I was in the market for an M3, this pretty much ticks all the boxes.
This was a pre-sale enhancement for a trader pal but it turned into a full labour of love correction.
Working with low paint levels in places we removed on average 4 microns to achieve a really decent result. Finished with a couple of coats of Zaino Z5 topped with Z8.
Video won't load but can be...
Strong fuel smell on the way home tonight and coughed when I started from cold. Had a root around and found this....
At least I found the leak; question is how the hell do I fix it? Help!
TIA
Or indeed an R34 GTR Nismo R1, one of less than 30 worldwide. Carbonfibre everywhere and even though I'm not a JDM guy I'm properly liking this. Single stage polish, Zaino, new black Nismo wheels going on and then off to the dealer to be sold.
Had this in for the last few days for full Gtechniq TSP inside and out including Crystal Serum Black.
Shocking paint for a car with less than 200 miles on the clock but we managed to turn it around. Slightly in love/lust/can't afford :(
Polished with my new Flex DA and Koch Chemie compound and refining polishes, Gyeon prep wipedown, 2 coats of MOHS, 1 of cure, trim to all exterior trim and tire to, um, tyres...
Gtechniq G1 to glass and all done. Really happy with how it's come up as it'll used to demo coatings at work.
Rear...
Just had the pleasure of this for the last few days. Correction and Gtechniq coatings throughout. Epic, wonderful and amazing - an absolute privilege to be entrusted with her :)
Had this last week for Gyeon MOHS+ coating and gtechniq on wheels and glass
Light polish as the owner takes proper care of it, with the only issue being the piano black trim. Front wings & bonnet PPF protected too.
Absolute monster; enjoyed working on this :)
Nope, not a crap joke.
Driving to work yesterday, queuing on motorway and as I slowed down heard what I can only describe as a ryrhmic knocking, sped up as speed increases and appeared to stop beyond maybe 30. Did it again on way home.
Nothing falling off that I can see, suspension all new maybe...
4th solid black car in as many weeks and 3rd repainted at the same bodyshop with me fixing the "issues"....
I'll let the pics do the talking. And yes the whole car's like this.
Only started a few days ago. Got worse today - smell is a combination of boiling coolant (it isn't - bottle full and no leaks) and burning rubber.
I also have a whining noise which rises and falls with revs.
Alternator??
Back at clean and shiny helping with an M3 repainted in solid black and rather destroyed...
Still some marks to chase out and refining before coating but a reasonable improvement.
Been helping out at Clean & Shiny with a brand new M4. Full gtechniq coating inside and out including CS Light and Exo to paint, c5 to wheels and g1/2 to glass, l1/i1/c6 to interior.
Came up rather nicely.
Inferno 182 by Costco this morning.
Blue 172 cup Costco this evening headinF towards the tip.
Arctic blue 182 by BMW. Followed you down the M3 south (because it's my way home not because I'm a weirdo)
Should have dragged mine out in the sunshine!
So I snapped the sensor despite being (I thought!) as delicate as someone with gorilla hands can be.
Bought a replacement from ECP and the sensor seems too small for the hole in the inlet. It's the only one they list for the 172 so any ideas as to how I can get the fecker to fit?? New vs old...
