Hands free it really good on it. Which is what I needed it for really.
Amber side repeaters fitted and the interior has had all the gauges and random switches removed bar the AFR gauge.
I properly love this thing. Esp now with the new Pioneer head unit which uses the iPhone as its screen. Really neat ideal, integrates maps and hands free too.
Just waiting on the paint, so I can re paint the engine bay.
Also do a single din cubby hole to replace the horrid switch panel.
Trying to find a subtle bluetooth headunit too to replace the horrid sony thing.
This thing is fantastic. Using it as a daily atm.
Little things I've done.
Moved the clutch pedal downwards so its more comfortable.
Rebuilt the shifting mechanism in the gearbox
Tidies some of the wiring.
Some amber side repeaters came today so I'll get those on it.
Just need to take...
Oh s**t.
No they aren’t RFP1’s, sack putting £1k wheels on this.
They are Ultralite F1’s. Which are about 0.2kg heavier than a RFP1 and probs not as strong.
Ultralites seem to be hated with the JDM lot. No one seems to understand they’ve been making wheels in England for 50 years!
Stock 1.6
TD04 Turbo
480cc injectors
MS2 Ecu
280lb/ft rated clutch
Nothing fancy.
I'd be tempted to put a Holset HE221on it, some 750cc injectors, chinese rods and keep upping the boost till the clutch slips.
Holding 250lb/ft to the limiter would give about 330bhp.
Its not perfect, but it'll do.
Only has a 2.25" exhaust from the turbo back, it would be far better with a 3". Might do that and a bigger turbo and some rods. 300bhp would be a nice number.
Another of those impulse buys.
An only school friend had owned this for 6 years, he mentioned maybe selling it and I thought why not.
Spec wise is has two important features:
A Turbo
New wings, cills and rear quarters
I’ll let you know more as I find it out...
Yes I know I should have...
