I'm a good 36 or more hours in now. Have completed the main storyline, but there's so much more to explore and do.
Only have 2 bobbleheads for a start, and 1 main piece of power armour.
My bro has finished the main storyline already. [emoji23]
I'm about 75% of the way through it but am currently concentrating on settlements, and having jolly walks thru the countryside.
If you setup those big water purifiers, it does indeed add them to the workshop.
They're good for farming caps, however....
You cannot use the "wait" or "sleep" trick to pass time. you have to pass real time in the game. So build one, go play somewhere for an hour, and come back to find a load...
Watched a video on Youtube earlier of the "best settlements" in Fallout4.
One had floating buildings, just accessed by the stairs. Nothing supporting it underneath.
I'm up to Level 26 now. Have been doing a fair few of the side missions before concentrating on the main story line (if you can even separate the 2. I like how intertwined it all is).
Legendary deathclaw nearly got me to produce real poop last night. Jumped out of nowhere.
Made a shelter last night. Pre-fab metal one.
Have 3 settlers now working on my crops (all bitchez - they know the score). Started building a wall around it too (settled at the Red Rocket).

If you did, I didn't hear it. I was too busy snoring.
(Also, if you did, how on earth did you do that, as I was camped the other side of your tent. You'd have had to walk past yours do a U turn around mine!?)
Check out some of the project threads on here. I know a few of the proper racers have changed rads. I think @Tony Hunter used a Polo rad? He'll correct me I'm sure.
A couple of folks have used the Direnza type ones too.
