Mine is ever so slightly lop sided but until everything is in im not too worried, and yep I've got 12.9 high tensile bolts keeping everything held together
Omp subframe, sparco side mounts and plastic renault bits removed from floorpan
Seat is only in temporarily until cage is fitted, can go lower on side mounts as well, for me it's a comfortable position neither too high or low (I am a shorty though)
I've just put an oreca on my 172, I bought a cheap decibel meter and it's reading 94-95db @ 4.5k with cat still fitted. Haven't been on track yet but figures seem pretty accurate
Not sure of the exact weight but it is light, very light compared to standard system
The 2 dci's ive had and my 172 are the same, I've always assumed it's just the way they were deaigned. Central locking works on the key fob and also on the button on dash as they should
Ok so I've finally ally had the chance to catch up with the guys at M-Tech, normal price is £45 a run, they can allocate a whole day for a group of 15+ (optimistic I know) at £30 each, or can do something in between for a group of 5+, I haven't spoken of an inbetween price as of yet, nor have...
There will be a code stamped into the casing of the gearbox, find that and then match it up with a new one to make sure it's the same, once you've found the code it'll be easier to find another
Can you feel around to the release mechanism itself? If so try pulling on the latch rather than cable, might help to apply a bit of downward pressure on the bonnet whilst pulling as the bonnet has a spring to lift it when pulling cable from in the car
Bonnet release cable runs down passenger wing and across slam panel, any chance of breaking the grille and finding the release cable and pulling on it to open bonnet?
