Yeah I love it mate, great all-rounder but I do miss the rawness of the clio occasionally. I wouldn't own a clio as a daily again that's for sure but wouldn't say no to owning another as a bit of a toy.
Sounds good to me mate! Be good to catch up before Christmas. Keep me in the loop.
Hi Stef, the setup I used was the same on both the cup wheels and Turini's. 20mm front, 15mm rear is the perfect setup IMO, I had no rubbing at all!
I basically worked out the final offset should not exceed ET25 on the rear and ET20 on the front whilst using a 7J rim on 195/45 tyres or ET30 on...
Thanks mate, appreciate the comment!
It ran just shy of 290bhp when it was mapped at Badger5 in September. Goes really well!
Thanks man, they are lovely cars.
They are the only wheels I really like on the MK1 TT.. Finding some genuine ones is a task in it's self. I saw some sell for £1,000...
Just a few new photos from over the last few months..
Went to the Nurburgring at the start of October. The car was completely faultless, and performed well beyond what I was expecting.
I still need to sort through my photos, so just a quick mandatory shot of the complex for the time being...
Yes mate, because it's haldex controlled you can pull the fuse to force it into using 2WD. Can't be driven as it will overheat but will be fine for a couple of runs. We did it on @TomSx 's TT QS at the last Tipton meet before you arrived. :)
I have had mine since July, was actually pre-sale as it was part of my prize for winning 'Best Modern Classic' at WaxStock. I just left it on the shelf until October when I decided to give it a bash and I couldn't believe the quality. Such a nice feel, it's a pleasure to use. Wish I used it sooner!
The reviews look very promising, purchased all of the new products at the weekend along with a few top ups. Turned up this morning so looking forward to putting then through their paces. Got a MK7 GTI in this weekend so prime opportunity.
Toughcoat over Tripple is a brilliant combo, very durable and gives a lovely wet finish especially on lighter coloured paints.
I am a big fan of C2V3 but you can't go wrong with either tbh.
Zaino wise, I would go for Z6 which is basically a gloss enhancing QD.
Otherwise, I think G-Techniq C2V3 is probably the best shout. Extremely easy to use and very durable, as above it could also be diluted to use as a QD if you so wish.
We will get the A3 in after the winter mate and give it some enhancement. I didn't drive it yesterday other than moving it about but I have been out in it as a passenger. It certainly shifts, they should have come out the factory like that really.. Although this one is about 310bhp IIRC, Hybrid...
Thanks mate, I would normally but this is a bit of a garage queen so it's not really going to be exposed to much winter weather.
It's a lovely colour, very rewarding as you say.
