Yeah tried 3 times now mate.. I resealed it on Monday didn't drive it so the wipers haven't been switched on at all and when it rained today it was exactly the same.
The wipers were brand new at the time of replacing the screen too.
Completely miffed by it.
Could any of you guys tell me what is going on with my windscreen?
I had it replaced about 6 weeks ago and ever since fitting it's had 3 large patches that don't seem to bead the water. The water just sits on the windscreen.. I've tried IPA inside and out, W4 polish etc but nothing shifts them...
Difficult choice in that price category as there are so many good waxes.
For me, it would be a toss up between Britemax Vantage or ValetPro Beading Marvellous.
Course, that's the beauty of the AF kit for a hobbiest, It's fool proof! You could start with the red pad (finishing pad) and number 3 compound and see what correction is achieved. If you aren't happy, work backwards through the pads/compounds.
What Gally is saying is, if you are only bothered...
No problem!
Probably be best off sticking to the AF pads as they are designed to work with the compounds in the Revitalise kit and just order yourself some spot pads and backing plate.
Could always chuck an AF Supreme pad into the mix too, ideal for applying pre-wax cleansers.
Me and Gally are basically on the same wavelength here.. If you want a DA under £200, DAS6 Pro is the clear choice IMO! I wouldn't consider anything else.
The only difference between the 2 is the ProPlus features a 15mm throw and the DAS21e a 21mm throw.
Personally if you are looking for a standalone machine neither of these are a particularly good choice IMO. The reason being, 15/21mm throw restricts you from focusing on isolated and tight areas...
It's not ideal mate, after a days detailing I can barely move during the evening but I just work through it.
Yeah I have a couple of creepers and recently got any myself a stool from slims detailing which is pretty good.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
At the moment, I'm just trying to build a good client base really. Trouble is, working part time you get booked up really quickly and the last thing I want to do is start turning people away.. I currently have bookings well into June!
It's also nice to maintain...
Yeah Scott it's James' car.
As above, I put around 35 hours into this one. The arches took a while to sort out lol!
No, still only part time mate. I have a fixed term contract with my day job for another 18 months so I'm stuck as I am for a while. Doing 3 days at work and 4 days detailing...
Few photos for you guys of the Trophy I was working on late last week.
A previous customer of mine bought it recently. 1 owner from new, 65K on the clock. Lovely history, just a bit tired looking so we had it in for wheels off correction to restore some of that Trophy flair.
Was a hard one for...
Between 4-6 weeks. It's technically just a wax enhanced QD rather than a Spray Wax IMO! Lovely to use though, I'm pretty pleased with it.
Ideal for use during maintenance washes to add a little extra protection.
Firstly, apologies for the late post. I have been rushed off my feet these last few weeks!
I had a Porsche Boxster S 986 in for full correction a few weeks back and used the opportunity to review the new RagTop Cleaner & Protector.
The car was washed as usual ready to crack on with the roof...
Lol! I need to stop buying stuff.. I have far too much at the moment.
I think other than CR I'm going to try and not purchase anything else until WaxStock.
