Yeah ACC isn't designed to be moddable as it's intended to be a serious E-sports title so modding support just allows people to cheat. TBH I think some of the stuff done to Assetto is better than what Kunos themselves managed for ACC, but it is very good.

Yeah antivirus programs never like miners at all, you'll also probably find Windows Defender will randomly delete it. Try underclocking, memory speed is all that matters so you can often drop the core clock and power limit dramatically which will place way less thermal load on your card. Also...
