I think I'll go down the ITB route Sam. ITB's + cams and it will give it a healthy BHP per tonne figure. When are you going to SORN the saxo mate?
Like I said yesterday via text mate, just seems strange that it didn't make as much power as before as it drives much better!
Re: dmallett's titanium ph1
When did you buy the black ph1 172 Dan?
I found a pic of it at goodwood in 2009!

Yes strange that it didn't make the same or more as before. The car itself feels very responsive and quick on the road, so I shouldn't grumble too much.
New exhaust next methinks, then next year cams/ ITB's (hopefully)
And yes I do need two seats mate ;)
I hadn't thought about the dephaser switching off. All new belts and dephaser fitted in Sep 2013. Also had PMS AC delete, and matched inlets fitted since the last run, so was hopping for 172bhp or more TBH.
Had the annual SRR day on Sat.

Disappointed with the figures TBH. Charlie said it was going well making good power and torque right up until it just dropped off. Strange as it made 171.5bhp in 2011. It's only done 5k and had PMS AC delete and matched...

Dissapointed with my RR results TBH :( Charlie thinks something is restricting it, because it just drops off. It made 171.5bhp last time at SRR.
Like Leeds said. if you enjoy driving it then keep it, if not get rid of it.
I have had my 172 for getting on 8.5 years and have no intention of ever selling it. I don't care it's 'old' as long as it puts a smile on face I am happy.
Nice. I am always looking at vintage Chevy, Ford pickups for sale. One day when I have the space I'll get one.
