As above. You don't to change the thermostat. I just changed my coolant hoses and also changed the T-stat as they don't last that long ( my temp gauge sat just under the middle) And for the sake of £20 it was worth while doing all together.

I would go for a RS tuner remap. Pound for pound the best mod I have done to my car TBH.

You should be ok. my airbag light is tapped up and it still passes a MOT.

Skoda splitter, or genuine renault cup splitter for me.

I took the 172 out a run the other week and on returning I noticed some water on the drive. Under closer inspection she was leaking coolant from a split hose. The coolant hoses are all original so a good excuse to change to some silicone hoses. I also plan on changing the manky expansion tank...
