Three-A Tyres - thoughts of those who've actually used them

Watching with interest. Never heard of three A tyres. I've just looked on their website. It's not very easy to navigate or find a specific tyre? I've always used Camskil. There are a plethora of tyres in 205 x 45 x 16 to suit all budgets and requirements.

Is it glass though? Wing mirrors are usually plastic mirrors. @Hollidog . Can you not just pop the mirror glass / plastic out of the actual wing mirror fitting. It'll be easier to polish once it's out of the wing mirror fitting itself.

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

I'm assuming when people say their Aux belt tensioner has seized they mean the bush.

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

You're reply was a bit confusing actually after I read it a couple of times. At first you say you're 99.9% sure the bush should be tight in the body of the tensioner. Then you said it should be able to move so it can pivot. I'm assuming it's not supposed to pivot on the bolt, more like the...

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

Thanks for the reply 👍 I have another one where it does move freely, as in this video. So the one that doesn't move at all must be seized? I've just given it a good soaking in plus gas and see if it does free up.

    Seized aux belt tensioner?

I got hold of a 2nd hand aux belt tensioner. I did tag this onto a previous post of somebody else's but nobody responded. The black part thats held in with a bearing clip. Is it supposed to spin freely? I think it is supposed to, but just want confirmation. It doesn't look rusty so maybe just...

It's not that long ago people were saying steer clear of clay mitts they can cause marring. I can't see this being any different. I've used Farecla clay mitts for a few years now and never had any problems if you keep it well lubed 🤭 Hopefully we'll have some good weather soon, then you can...

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

According to which website. If the item is not as described you shouldn't be charged a return fee. There's a free template letter on the website too.

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

To be honest, I don't know. I could understand if It was something I was sending back that I'd ordered and was correct, I'd just changed my mind. But they're clearly advertising type D and sending type E. So that's got to be wrong in itself. Like I said. I have emailed them but I'll be...

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

The thing is with this new coolant. The shelf life is only 3 years. That's if it's left unopened. Once it's in the engine and going through lots of heating and cooling cycles, surely it degrades and the life of the coolant is a lot less? 😮 Not everybody changes their coolant every 2 or 3 years...

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

I've had exactly the same. I ordered type D and they sent me type E. The delivery charge was £3.99 but to send it back they're charging £4.60 😡 Robbing b******s.

Glaceol RX Type E LDR Blue coolant sent by mistake or genuinely the right stuff?

You don't trust the new type E? From what I've read it's the same spec as the type D and can be mixed with type D. Both go down to - 21 It makes you wonder why they're discontinuing the type D and replacing it with type E though?

Recommendations for dry fast road tyres?

You're probably right. There are better. And they are a slightly older tyre now. But for the price and how they perform on the road I think they're a bargain.

Recommendations for dry fast road tyres?

The Michelin Exalto PE2s were a brilliant tyre imo. I'd still run them now if they were still available in the right size for my 182. After they were discontinued I ran Rainsport 2s for a while then Rainsport 3s, which were both brilliant in the wet but didn't last long. I'd average about 5k...

    Clio 172 noise from engine

On a 1*2. Aux belt and pulleys is every 5 years or 36k miles. People automatically assume it's every 3 years with it being 36k and the timing belt being every 5 years and 72k.
