Not at the moment, but I'm hoping we can get a good group to go. Always makes the journey down more fun. Will talk to you about it on Thursday if you're still coming along to the meet?
Yep! Feel pretty comfy from a quick seat in them anyway. Nice and snug too.
I do love the brake photos, but the fact that's basically the discs crying out for help isn't so good lol! They performed well enough but must have been cheap shitty discs or pads to spark like that!
Large boxes arrived today...
Oooh, new shiny things
Can't wait to get them fitted and get the harnesses in. Only problem now is my harnesses will bolt to the floor when I have a cage sitting with harness bars on it! Will be on the lookout for proper 4 points at some point probably.
Done a great job of remembering to phone up about this... will do it tomorrow at some point!
So list of everyone bowling, just to keep track

The caliper itself looks standard but the carriers look different to me. Its as if someone's used a carrier for a larger setup to mount the caliper out further and accommodate the bigger disc if that makes sense.
This is how it looks on my ph1 172 and I'm 99% sure the setup is the same across...
In short, no, you can't fit a 310mm disc on standard calipers. Tbh I don't even know if you can fit that under 16" wheels!
Got any pictures of what you're seeing? People will be able to tell you straight away if it's a normal setup with some pics.
I've got Kumho KH31's on my 172 alloys on my dci. I think they're epic for the price, was about 60 quid a corner fitted and balanced. I had more confidence in my dci with the kumho's than I did in my ph1 172 when I bought it and that had T1R's on.
Decent job on those headlights! A set of clean...
Mine was doing the same...ripped it off! I have a feeling it only comes as part of the full bulkhead insulation/heat shield, but you could always get some metal tie wraps and tie it back up. I've got some sitting there to attach it on with but I've never got round to it and tbh it's been fine...
Have you tried actually lifting the bonnet while pulling the lever? The spring that pops it up is probably just rusted to f**k so isn't lifting when the release is pulled and it's coincidental it's happened after the cambelt change. Happened with mine recently anyway, worth trying!
@Fraser.J. @Jbm172 @Dannyeff @Ross-gt128 @Paprika123 @gally @rctempire @gav896 @Ritch_Kid26 just a heads up whoever is still up for bowling, I'll probably need to get a deposit down on a lane. Will phone up tomorrow and find out how busy they're likely to be next Thursday night. If its quiet we...
I'll dig out the photos of the bonnet with the before and after polishing shots when I can be bothered. Those halogen lamps showed up all sorts of horrors in the paint 😂
As above really. No problems doing a track day in any car, just remember there'll be a lot of faster cars than you so you'll need to keep an eye out for them.
If you can get a short session rather than a full day I'd advise that. Road tyres/standard brakes probably wouldn't last a full day but...
Had a look today at what state I'd left my front brakes in after last night. Surprisingly there was still a decent bit of pad left. I noticed once I had everything off though that my caliper sliders were sticking on both sides. More so on the passenger side. Got another set of calipers there...
Couple more pics from tonight.
Almost see the brakes glowing again in this one
Quite far away this one, but I like it because I'm pretty sure I passed him a couple of corners later 😂
Darkness drew in quickly as the session came to a close. Went back out with half an hour to go...
First track evening down, f**king loved it! Whole 2 hour session went relatively well. Started off slowly with the help of @Fraser.J. then just built up pace as the session went on. Managed to shave 10 seconds off my times from start to finish, so as much as I'm not wanting to chase specific lap...
