As above, use some sort of grease/corrosion inhibitor to protect against trapped moisture and make sure that the bottom velcro of the sock doesn't sit on any important threads as, if anywhere was going to corrode, that's where it would be.

Tbh this makes me respect and like the 140 even more because even though it’s over 100bhp down, has way narrower tyres (effectively an entire 180 wide tyre narrower), smaller brakes, less ‘M-feel’ and on a tyre compound that is over a second a lap slower, it’s only a few seconds off.

It’s what I do for a living, even Chernobyl wasn’t actually that bad in terms of what people were exposed to off site (the residents of Pripyat on average received the equivalent of 3 CT scans) but Fukushima was really very tame in comparison even though it looked dramatic.
