Cage arrived yesterday! Looks decent enough.
Car is away getting the gearbox cv boot sorted just now though. Will have that and some fresh box oil soon enough, then getting it on the rolling road Saturday morning to check it's all running fine. I'm dubious though. Exhaust popped at me the other...
Diesel has a fairly low specific gravity. There's not much floats in it. Nothing that would float in it would be any worse than what could possibly sit in the bottom of the tank anyway.
I've ran my tank to almost empty for 40k miles and it's done no harm.
Want to sell some R888's? 😂
That's a fantastic help mate, good to get some track 'tailored' advice. Although I'll be running pilot sport 3's on my first outing on the 3rd April, but I'm assuming the same general rules still apply. Will hopefully get onto some track tyres soon after...
You'll hopefully find its not used anywhere near the full tank. I've no idea why my old dci done it. If it has genuinely used the full tank in just under 500 miles though something definitely sounds amiss
Both my dci's have used the last bit of the tank ridiculously quickly.
Also have you filled it back up? I found on my last dci I only got about 500ish miles out the tank but when I filled it up there was about 2 gallons still left in it! They were completely unusable though, I tried once and...
Ahh s**t, I hope so! Sure the thread was there but I'll have to double check now. Do those bolts do anything important like help hold the subframe in position at all?
Are you sure? I have one I got off a 1.2 or something from the scrappies and it's just goes straight through the hole lol. Think I've managed to source one but cheers anyway, I'll get back to you if not though!
I should've just paid the extra and got that tool in the first place, would've saved so much time!
Think that's the one yeah. Tried a non sport one but was too small. It's the bolt circled in here I'm after http://www.cliosport.net/index.php?threads/770699/
Managed to get a photo from Google lol.
No worries about anyone being a bit late, it's a decent distance for some of you's, just don't turn up 2 hours late like some... @Dannyeff 😂
@w33 brl let us know if you're coming, will bring the dashcam along since I forgot it last time!
Been thinking about a location, and the...
Got the rest of the weekend's jobs done today. Both track rods and ends fitted either side, and new ball joints. Put the TRE's back on same amount of turns as the old ones came off, and the alignment was still MILES out afterwards, but the car shouldn't be moving much in the next week or so...
It's 32mm on the inner track rods, and I know it's definitely DEFINITELY not this fucker you want lol

I'm sure I read in a thread that...
Cheers guys! Think my first outing will be April 3rd, evening session. Would've loved to get it out earlier but there's still a couple of things that won't be ready for next weekend. Mainly the alignment and my leaky gearbox cv boot.
Yeah, apart from ripping my arms apart on the subframe trying...
Part 1 of this weekend complete... Got the tyres fitted, and started work on the track rods/ends and ball joints.
Track rods are a pain in the hole! Had a tool for removing them but it turned out to be as useful as a f**king ashtray on a motorbike. So binned that idea off, went to halfrauds...
Buckled Oz F1's FTL [emoji23]
Just got my new pilot sport 3's fitted and that was the result on one of the wheels! 120g of wheel weights on one side LOL
Part have arrived! The track prep begins...
New exhaust hangers, throttle cable and a new ns inner cv boot. f**k knows how I'm going to fit the cv boot. Need gearbox oil first! But it looks like it needs pressed in so will probably be a garage job.
