Tread wear is 320 on the PS3.
They are doing 16" sizes it seems they were released recently, but non of the places I buy from do them in 16" sizes yet. Michelins UK site isn't updated to show the 16" sizes yet either.
See what I mean now that it does seem a bit bigger than the stacker in person. Even though dimension wise they say that they are similar.
Bloody heavy when they are built up too.
Have them on my C4 and think they are great. Had PE2's on it originally then goodyear NCT5's then Toyo's and now the PS3. Best tyre I have had on it so far.
Not available in sizes to fit the Clio's yet though. 17" - 19" and 225 - 285 widths only.
They are supposed to be replacing the Exalto...
Got to be honest never had any issues with Netgear stuff. But you can have issues with anything. Heard of major issues with Linksys stuff as well.
Still rather keep to those brands than belkin and all that other crap though.
Wondering if it might be better to look at the AMD Hex cores or the Intel Hex core cpu's as well.
As it is a rendering machine the extra cores would help. Could drop down to a cheaper PSU and Case, Then go with a cheaper GPU, say a GTX480 instead of the 5970. The 480 is probably going to be...
Will he get a Quadro card that will do the system justice for his budget though?
Last time I looked they were mega money for anything remotely half decent.
See they have 2 new architectures coming soon. Southern Islands and Northern Islands. So things are a bit mixed up as to what we are getting right now it seems. And how different it is all going to be.
Street Fighter IV runs at 640P and then is upscaled to 1080P on the 360, 720p on the PS3.
Bit different when you see an actual 1200P signal.
Plus if a PC player really wanted to be s**t hot at it, they could buy a gaming keyboard and program all the special moves onto a single key. Makes doing...
I would make a lot of adjustments, plus I wouldn't buy from Overclockers either personally. The GPU you selected, you know you will need a full on watercooling rig for that? If you don't have that well you can't have that graphics card. To be honest not a big deal anyway though.
So for me this...
All well and good saying that...just what happens if his TV will only take audio from the HDMI socket. Then he has video and no sound. Unless he has an external amp that will accept a 3.5mm jack (Most don't) He will then need a 3.5mm to phono and then need to connect that to the amp. Just more...
If you want all the audio to go through the HDMI port, then the following should help. Not cheap though.

You need any optical cable and an optical to SPDIF adaptor, about £2 out of maplins, don't need to spend a fortune on the optical cable either. £5 optical cable + SPDIF adaptor.
Then Mini DVI to HDMI for the video. If your device does not accept optical audio as well...then things get a little...
I was meaning in reply to his post mate. The spec list he posted, saying the one I posted although a DIY build would outperform the built to order one he did by quite a bit.
Jon.G
I was in my 1st year doing Auto Engineering. Kind of odd really 2 of my lecturers saw my point of view the other...
The spec list I put together further up would outperform that and is a similar price.
Newer GPU, faster CPU, faster ram (wont need more than 6gb very few people use more than 4gb)
Seriously recommend you build it yourself. Will get a far better system for the money.
It isn't hard to build a...
First off I would stick with an i7 the 950 has recently been reduced in price quite a lot and is similar in price to AMD's 6 core CPU's now. The extra 2 cores aren't a big deal, very few programs make use of them and if they do the i7 is hyper threaded so technically shows up as 4 logical core's...
I would definitely go quad core if you can. Especially with video editing if you are ever converting large files, compressing them etc etc the quad core is going to be a much much faster.
6gb ram I would recommend as well.
If you can build it yourself, then I would likely do that.
Scan today...
Same site mate, look on the link loads of high res images on there.
Also just ordered front and back for my iPhone 4. Will see how it is before I take the plunge and order one for my MacBook.
Just looked it up for you in the settings you want to set it to 1680 x 1050.
I believe that is one of the options available with the VGA cable. Been a while since I used mine.
When the VGA connector is used it defaults to a low resolution. You need to go into setting and pick the closest one to your monitors native resolution.
You get a lot more options to pick from in terms of resolution through the VGA connector. So if you have not set it up then it will look...
Sometimes they can take a good 15+ minutes to come on and start working. Just unplug it again, plug it back in and leave it for a while 15 - 30 minutes, don't press anything. Then try turning it on later.
