I'd have gone if it were track oriented. It generates conversation and provides 'free' entertainment for those not driving.

To be honest Trev it's best for both of you that he didn't buy it. He'll be back in 6 months asking you to replace his windscreen wipers under warranty. It's a big bad world out there, some people just don't get it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I always understood that increased friction (ie s**t oil from tesco) is what you want for a few hundred miles to run the engine in?
It definitely goes at the top mate so that BILSTEIN is the right way up. I had spax before as well so I was confused like you are.
I did a search and found a thread where fred@btm (iirc) had showed a picture of them fitted at the top as the correct way.
Put it in at the top mate, it fits against the shape of the body of the car at the top to hold it in place.
There's no way to bolt it to the rear beam if you put it at the bottom.
Sad to see this, I always worry about this outcome on trackdays.
